Amazon lost approximately $1 trillion dollars. The biggest retail company’s worth dropped from $1.9 Trillion to about $879 billion. This year Amazon’s stock plummeted by about 48%. Such major losses of Amazon inflicted Jeff Bezo’s worth from $192.5 billion to $113 billion.

What caused the loss?

The decline in consumerism. People can’t shop for items, which aren’t necessities, as much as they could. The Russian invasion of Ukraine led to the energy crisis, which emptied pockets out of many people, who were using or could have used Amazon’s services. High inflation also played a significant role in reducing Amazon’s profits.
